Its a good sign when the lead contractor doesn't want his face blurred! Brave woman (and very pretty too). She's doing this alone AND with a toddler! Ugh, the bastards who don't do this shit right, just lazy assholes, how is this legal? Rubbish!

There is no way I would have let that other contractor get away with that kind of work. I would of followed him onto his next job and brought photos of his very crummy work for his next clients to see. People should not be allowed to to do that kind of very crummy work and get away with it.

I'm not even 5 minutes into this video and I am already 99% sure that this "real life" reno is not going to be that realistic. What drives me nuts about these reno shows is when the designers want to tear out everything and do it ALL over again. "Everything needs to go"….no! It doesn't NEED to go. Some of what I saw in the b-roll of the house in the 'before' stage, looked fine. These designers push onto these homeowners that they have to change everything. NO! you don't. Case in point- the curtains. The designer said they have to go because she doesn't have furniture to match. Good lord!! In reality, homeowners on a tight budget would simply say no to some of these so-called "needed" changes. I've bought places that had dated looks and old stuff. I didn't go hog wild and completely gut everything. Why? Because in reality, to do all that is insane!!!

From the distance of year 2018, I can safely say that the decor aged and dated badly and very quickly.
